These Mini Goat Cheese Balls bring together creamy tanginess and seasonal texture in one elegant bite.
Rolled in colorful seasonal coatings like pistachio and apricot or pecan and cranberry, they offer a lovely balance of tangy, sweet, and savory. Serve with Stonefire® Naan Crisps for an effortless bite that’s ideal for gatherings, snacking boards, or holiday celebrations.
Ingredients
- 8 oz goat cheese, softened
- 2 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp Everything But the Bagel Seasoning
- Zest of 1 small lemon
- Pistachio & Apricot coating:
- ½ cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
- ⅓ cup dried apricots, finely chopped
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
- Pecan & Cranberry coating:
- ½ cup pecans, finely chopped
- ⅓ cup dried cranberries, finely chopped
- 1 tsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- Stonefire® Naan Crisps, Everything and Sea Salt varieties, for serving
- Optional: honey, for drizzling
Directions
- Make the cheese base: In a medium bowl, beat together goat cheese, cream cheese, Everything But the Bagel seasoning, and lemon zest until smooth and creamy.
- Form the balls: Using a small cookie scoop or teaspoon, roll the cheese mixture into 1-inch bite-size balls. Place on a parchment-lined tray and chill for 20 minutes to firm up.
- Prepare the coatings:
- In one shallow bowl, combine pistachios, apricots, and thyme.
- In another bowl, combine pecans, cranberries, and rosemary.
- Coat the cheese balls: Roll half of the chilled cheese balls in the pistachio-apricot mixture and the other half in the pecan-cranberry mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
Serve: Arrange the mini cheese balls on a platter with Stonefire Naan Crisps. Drizzle lightly with honey just before serving if desired.
