Each cheese ball is transformed into a reindeer with grape tomato noses, green onion and peppercorn eyes, and pretzel antlers. Perfect for holiday parties, family gatherings, or even a whimsical snack, these bite-sized reindeer are easy to assemble and guaranteed to impress!
Ingredients
For the Cheese Ball Mixture:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 4 oz goat cheese
- 1 cup shredded white cheddar or monterey jack cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
For Assembly:
- 1 package Stonefire Naan Dippers
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans (pulsed in a food processor)
- Small grape tomatoes (for the noses)
- White parts of green onions + whole peppercorns (for the eyes)
- Small pretzels (for the antlers)
Directions
- Make the Cheese Ball Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, goat cheese,shredded cheese, green onions, dried cranberries, black pepper, and salt. Mix until smooth and evenly combined.
- Shape the Cheese Balls: Scoop a heaping tablespoon of the cheese ball mixture. Shape it into a teardrop form, so it resembles the shape of the naan dippers.Press gently onto a Stonefire Naan Dipper to secure it.
- Coat with Pecans: Pulse the pecans in a food processor until finely chopped (but not powdery). Roll or press the cheese ball portion into the chopped pecans until evenly coated.
- Add the Reindeer Face:
- Nose: Press a small grape tomato at the bottom of the cheese ball for Rudolph’s red nose.
- Eyes: Use small slices of the white part of a green onion for the whites of the eyes, then place a peppercorn in the center of each. Gently press them onto the cheese ball.
- Antlers: Break small pretzels into curved pieces and press them into the top of the cheese ball to create antlers.
5. Assemble all the reindeer cheese balls following the same steps. Place them on a serving platter and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow them to firm up.
